Your Independent Workcover Providers

OUR DIFFERENCE

We’re really good at fixing injuries

Fixing injuries is a big part of our clinic’s purpose. It’s no different if you have a work injury that’s covered by your company’s workcover policy. We’ll help you get back to your best quickly and for good!

We’ll diagnose the pain properly

Unfortunately, most injuries are not diagnosed properly. In many cases, X-Rays, CT Scans and Ultrasounds do not provide enough information to identify the correct treatment.

We start with a comprehensive assessment to help us understand how the injury has impacted your body & movements. In some cases we can figure out which muscle or joint is causing the pain.

We’ll always have your back

We have found that patience can be a challenge in workcover cases. As an independent provider, we always ensure that your interests are protected to make sure that your issue is under control. This helps protect you from aggravation or worsening of your injury.

Workcover Process

  • Nominated Treating Doctor (NTD) Referral

Following the commencement of a workcover claim, the injured worker’s Nominated Treating Doctor can refer the worker to Activate Clinic for rehabilitation services.

  • Insurer Approves Initial Assessment

Following the referral by the NTD, approval for an initial assessment must be sought from the insurance provider. When you make a booking with us, we’ll ensure this occurs on your behalf prior to the first appointment.

  • Initial Assessment

The initial assessment for both Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology Workcover treatment incorporates a physical assessment with other objective measures to determine the baseline and outline the appropriate plan for a full recovery. We will discuss the Workcover process, how long rehabilitation is expected to last as well as any other case-specific questions that may arise.

  • Management Plan

Following the initial workcover assessment, our rehab providers will provide the insurance with a management plan which must be approved prior to the commencement of treatment.

  • Treatment

Once the management plan has been approved, we commence treatment. We focus on work related movements to prepare the worker physically and mentally for a return to work. After a few weeks, we will re-assess the objective measures taken at the initial assessment as an indicator of progress.

  • Pre-Injury Duties

As rehabilitation progresses and at the discretion of the NTD, the injured worker can return to full pre-injury duties with the confidence that their body will be able to function at full capacity for their foreseeable future.
